Best Printer For The Money 2017

Watch our YouTube Video

There are several terms i would like to define before i get to the actual picks, of the best printer for the money. Printers are not that different from each other and for the average user, a simple basic printer will do. I tried to keep that in mind when making my picks. I also tried to include several of the more expansive printers that are designed more for people that are not sure exactly what they will need, but want something that can pretty much do it all.

In printing, DPI (dots per inch) refers to the output resolution of a printer, and PPI (pixels per inch) refers to the input resolution of a photograph or image. DPI refers to the physical dot density of an picture or document when it is printed onto paper. This is more important if you are planning to print any pictures. If you need a printer simply for document printing DPI is not important and extra money should not be spent on it.

Honestly when it comes to printers all the specs are pretty self explanatory.  PPM just means pages per minute and should only be a concern if you intend to print large amounts of paperwork. Otherwise i would recommend on focusing on things that you would need such as. How much does it cost, Is it an all in one printer (printer, fax, scanner), does it print over wifi (if that is something you are interested in), how expensive is the ink?

Our premium pick is for people who use their printers a lot, it costs more but it can handle more. This is also a good option if you have a small business. With this printer you can print from anywhere using your smartphone or tablet with the free HP ePrint app, easily print from your iPhone or iPad with AirPrint. You can even print without a network using Wireless Direct printing, touch to print with NFC capability. Which is a nice option to have on top of all the other features our other picks have. Although this printer is filled with lots of great options the average person will probably never have need for most of them. Make sure that if you end up getting this one you have considered our other picks and decided you need the extra capacity this printer provides.
